Topeka Plug Article Kansas City Star November 9th, 1931
Charles Amos Beeler was one of the engineers for the Topeka Plug. This passenger train ran from Argentine, Kansas to Topeka for over fifty years. The run was discontinued in 1931 due to costs and making room for the west coast runs that ran over the same tracks.
